Core CMS v0.4.6: Mobilizing the Command Center
We've been busy behind the scenes of Core CMS, and today we're excited to pull back the curtain on our most significant UI update yet. Version 0.4.6 isn't just about code—it's about freedom. Freedom to manage your site from any device, anywhere.
Major Highlights / Updates
The focus of this release cycle (v0.4.5 to v0.4.6) has been on two pillars: Accessibility and Stability.
- Mobile-First Admin Dashboard: The entire administrative interface has been rebuilt with responsiveness in mind. Whether you're on a phone, tablet, or desktop, the "Command Center" adapts beautifully.
- Hamburger Navigation: We've introduced a modern slide-in sidebar for mobile users, keeping the interface clean while maintaining fast access to all tools.
- Ecosystem-Wide Versioning: A new centralized versioning system now tracks the Core CMS, Plugins, and Themes, providing clear metadata and update visibility directly in the dashboard.
- UI Standardization: Every button, card, and form element has been unified under a single design language, ensuring a consistent and premium user experience.
Technical Deep Dive
Under the hood, we've performed a massive refactoring to ensure the system remains lightweight and fast.
- CSS Centralization: We eliminated hundreds of lines of fragmented inline styles, replacing them with a single, optimized
admin.cssfile. This reduced page weight and improved maintainability. - Flexbox Layout Stabilization: Resolved complex layout regressions in the dashboard by standardizing container structures and fixing deep-seated tag mismatches.
- Programmatic Metadata Parsing: Implemented robust PHP handlers to parse plugin and theme headers, enabling the new versioning system without slowing down page loads.
- Localized Asset Management: Continued our commitment to stability by further reducing reliance on external CDNs for critical Editor.js plugins.
Looking Ahead
With the foundations of the Admin UI now rock-solid and responsive, we are turning our sights toward the Event Planner plugin and deeper AI Integration. The goal is to make Core CMS not just a place to store content, but an intelligent assistant that helps you grow your digital presence.
